A Company Quartermaster Sergeant with the 3rd Battalion, George died on 5th of June 1916 at the age of 62.George was born at Morley, Wymondham, Norfolk, in 1854. He is believed to have been a son of John and Mary Wade, but he has not been found in any birth or census records. George was working as a groom when he enlisted in the Army at Ipswich on 27 December 1876. He joined the Royal Artillery, service number 1518. George stated that he was nineteen years old. He served until 1 March 1879, when he was honourably discharged being unfit for further service.    CWGC
CRIPPS Leonard Raymond
An Ordinary Seaman with H.M.S. Ajax, Leonard died on 29th of May 1941 aged 18. Leonard was born at Lowestoft on 29 October 1922, a son of Walter William and Blanche Cripps. His family lived at 19 Princes Road before moving to 14 Wood’s Loke. Leonard served with H.M.S. Ajax. In August 1940 the Ajax was assigned to the Mediterranean for convoy duties. On 21 May 1941 the ship was involved in the Battle of Cape Matapan and then took part on operations to evacuate troops from Crete. It was during this latter operation that Leonard was killed.     1939 Register

Thomas John Brinded
A Private with 1/4th Bn., Thomas died on 2nd of November 1917 at the age of 38. Thomas was born at Mutford in 1879, a son of Thomas and Christina Brinded. In 1881 his family lived at Mutford and in 1887 they lived at Burlingham. Thomas' mother died in 1887 and his father married Mary A. Lubbock in 1889. In 1891 his family lived at Bakers Road, Halvergate, Norfolk. By 1901 his family were living at Farm House, Geldeston, and Thomas worked on the farm for his father.  Pension Record Card
Walter Edward Bunn
A Private with 1st Bn. Walter died on 24th of August 1914 at the age of 32. Walter was born at Pakefield on 12 June 1882, a son of Charles and Anna Bunn. He was baptised at All Saints Church, Pakefield, on 8 June 1884, From 19 October 1885 he attended Cunningham School, Pakefield. In 1891 his family lived at 2 Mickleburgh Cottages, Mill Road, Pakefield. From 7 September 1891 Walter attended Saint Margaret's School. In 1901 his family lived at 10 Wellington Cottages, Clapham Road,  and Walter worked as a labourer and later as a blacksmith.  Army Service Papers
A Private with the 15th (Suffolk Yeomanry) Battalion, John died on 5th of September 1918 aged 20.John was born at Lowestoft on 22 June 1898, a son of John and Elizabeth Alice Mallett. Between 1901 and 1911 his family lived at 60 Cambridge Road. John attended Church Road School until 1 February 1905 when he joined Saint Margaret’s School. Later his parents lived at 64 Sussex Road.  Pension Record Card

A Gunner with the Royal Horse Artillery, Charles died on 23rd of September 1918 aged 28. Charles was born at Kirkley on 8 February 1890, a son of Charles and Anna Maria Lingwood. He was baptised at Saint Peter’s Church, Kirkley, on 6 April 1890. In 1891 his family lived at 15 Lorne Road. Between 1901 and 1911 they lived at 67 Lorne Park Road and in 1911 Charles was a general carter.   Pension Record Card
REEVE George William
A Lance Sergeant with 25th Bomb Disposal Company, George died on 22nd of September 1944 aged 29. George was born at Lowestoft on 9 January 1915, a son of John Henry and Emily Reeve. In 1921 his family lived at 17 Coronation Terrace, Fir Lane.  CWGC and 1939 Register
A Private with the 2/5th Battalion, William died on 26th of September 1917 at the age of 25. William is believed to have been born at Northill, Bedfordshire, in 1891, a son of John and Clara Clark. In 1901 his family lived at Irwell Green, Northill, and by 1911 at Ickwell, Biggleswade, when William worked as a carter on a farm. William married Daisy Kate Sarbutt at Lowestoft Register Office on 16 February 1916 and they lived at 8 Sandringham Road. Later Daisy lived at 25 Sandringham Road. She died in 1918.  Pension Record Card
