A Deck Hand, Albert died on 9th February 1916 at the age of 19.Albert was born at Pakefield on 20 January 1897, a son of Harry Green and Emily Haylock. He was baptised at Saint John's Church, Lowestoft, on 3 April 1898.In 1901 his family lived at 21 Pakefield Street, and, by 1911, they were living at 4 Lakenham Cottages, Beach Street, Pakefield.Albert joined the Royal Naval Reserve on 11 January 1915 and joined the crew of the Drifter Persistive. A Corporal with 10th Bn., Charles died on 1st of July 1916 at the age of 22. Charles was born at Lowestoft in 1893, a son of William and Maria Turrell. In 1901 his family lived at Seaview Cottages, East Street, Lowestoft. By 1911 the family were living at 29 East Street, Lowestoft.Charles volunteered and enlisted in the Army at Lowestoft. A Private with the 1/4th Battalion, Theophilus died on 1st of November 1916 at the age of 20. Theophilus was born at Lowestoft in 1896, a son of Arthur and Hannah Harper. He was baptised at Saint Margaret’s Church on 16 January 1896, and his family lived at 54 Whapload Road and this was still their home in 1901. A Deck Hand with the Royal Naval Reserve, Walter died on 15th of April 1917 at the age of 29. Walter was born at Lowestoft on 18 March 1888, a son of Arthur and Hannah Harper. He was baptised at Christchurch, Lowestoft, on 11 April 1888, and his family lived at Strand Cottages. In 1891 they were living at 54 Whapload Road, and this was still their home in 1901, by which time Walter was working as an errand boy. By 1915 his family lived at 46 Whapload Road, and later at 11 Anguish Street, Lowestoft.Lost Street
A Second Hand with H.M. Drifter Beatrice, John died on 27th of September 1919 at the age of 49. John was born at Whitton, Ipswich on 9 September 1869, a son of William and Mary Ann Day. In 1871 his family lived at Henly Road, Whitton. By 1891 John was living with his widowed mother at 23 Great Wingfield Street, Ipswich, and John was a brewer's labourer. On 19 January 1892 John married Sarah Hannah Meadows at Saint Margaret's Church, Lowestoft, John was a smacksman and they both lived at 5 Burton Place, The Beach, Lowestoft. Lost Street
A Private with the 4th Battalion, Andrew died on 27th of September 1918 at the age of 19. Andrew was born at Lowestoft on 5 March 1899, a son of Frances Elizabth Spurgeon. In 1901 he lived with his mother and brother at 7 Gun Lane, where his mother was housekeeper for William Andrews, and this was still their home in 1911. Andrew was a pupil at Church Road School and became a pupil at Saint Margaret’s School on 29 October 1906. Later his mother lived at 17 Chapel Street, Lowestoft. Lost Street
A Second Lieutenant with 4th Battalion attached to the 11th Battalion, Ernest died on 6th of September 1917 at the age of 20. Ernest was born at Great Yarmouth on 22 June 1897, a son of John Ernest and Caroline Sarah Rushmore. He was baptised at Great Yarmouth on 29 August 1897 and his family lived at Southtown. In 1901 his family lived at 1 Richmond Place, Kirkley. By 1911 the family were living at 12 Grosvenor Road and later at Victoria House, The Esplanade, Lowestoft.Lost Street
A Lance Corporal with the 11th Battalion, Charles died on 1st of October 1918 at the age of 23. Charles was born at Lowestoft in 1895, a son of James and Jane Anne Cook. He was baptised at Saint John’s Church on 3 January 1896 and his family lived at 98 Clemence Street. In 1901 his family lived at 43 Clemence Street. Charles attended Hervey Street School and, from 2 February 1903, was a pupil at Saint John’s School. In 1911 his family lived at 28 Stevens Street and Charles was a milk can ‘hand’ with a dairy. A Private with the 17th Battalion, William died on 20th of October 1918 at the age of 19. William was born at Lowestoft in 1899, a son of William John and Edith Barker. He was baptised at Saint Margaret’s Church on 3 July 1901 and his family lived at Police Station Road. In 1911 his family lived at Gayes Cottage, London Road, Pakefield, and later his father lived at 4 Cooks Buildings, East Street, Lowestoft.Lost Street
A Deck hand with HM Drifter Datum, Charles William died on 26th of October 1916 at the age of 20. Charles was born on 5 March 1896, a son of Samuel George and Lucy Ann Brady. He was baptised at Saint Margaret’s Church, Lowestoft, on 1 April 1896, and his family lived at 5 Wesley Street, and this was still their home in 1901. By 1911 they were living at 1 Bishop’s Building, Mariners Street. Later Charles’ family lived at 21 Chapel Street. Charles joined the Royal Naval Reserve on 11 January 1915 and from 16 January 1915 he served on the trawler Datum. Lost Street
