A Guardsman with 1st Battalion, Arthur died on 19th of December 1916 at the age of 20. Arthur was born at Lowestoft in 1896, a son of Joseph and Sarah Eliza Harper. He was baptised at Saint Margaret’s Church on 8 May 1896 and his family lived at Carlton Road. In 1901 his family lived at 6 Victoria Road, Carlton Colville. By 1911 they were living at 1 School Road, and Arthur was assisting his father as a jobbing gardener.  Pension Record Card
A Private with the 7th Battalion, William died on 28th of May 1918 aged 31.William was born at Carlton Colville in 1887, a son of Henry John and Elizabeth Hunter. He was baptised at Saint Peter’s Church, Carlton Colville, on 24 April 1887. In 1891 his family lived at Ship Corner, Carlton Colville, and by 1901 at South Elmham Terrace, Carlton Colville. A Private with the Guards Divisional Supply Company attached Guards Division Headquarters, Henry died on 18th of November 1916 at the age of 35.Henry was born at Oulton Broad in 1882, a son of Benjamin and Emma Godbold. He was baptised at Saint Michael’s Church, Oulton, on 5 February 1882. In 1881 his family lived at Mutford Bridge, Oulton Broad, and by 1891 at 42 Beccles Road, Oulton. In 1899 they lived at Saint Anne’s Terrace, Bridge Road, and by 1911 at 4 Rock Dene, Rock Estate, Oulton Broad.  1911 Census
A Sub Lieutenant with Drake Battalion, Royal Naval Division, John died on 30th of December 1917 at the age of 22. John was born at Balham, Surrey, on 17 February 1895, a son of Walter Ulric and Mary Gertrude Cookes. He was baptised at Saint Mary’s Church, Balham, on 28 April 1895, and his family lived at 10 Dornton Road, Balham. In 1901 his family lived at York Villas, Commodore Road, Oulton Broad. He was baptised at Saint Michael's Church, Oulton, on 16 September 1916 and his family lived at Carlton Colville. In 1891 his family lived at Church Road, Rock Estate. By 1901 they were living at 2 Garfield Cottage, Hall Road, Oulton Broad, Lowestoft. Henry moved to Canada in 1909 and by 1911 was living at Toronto.  1911 Census
A Skipper with Sailing Trawler Queen Bee (Lowestoft), Charles died on 4th of July 1916 at the age of 51. Charles was born at Carlton Colville in 1860, a son of Robert and Lydia Pitchers. He was baptised at Saint Peter’s Church, Carlton Colville, on 7 April 1861. In 1861 his family lived at Railway Gate House, Carlton Colville, and this was still their home in 1871. In 1891 they lived at Hall Cottage, Oulton. Later Charles’ father, and his son Charles Henry, lived at 2 Rock Dene, Moyes Road, Rock Estate, Oulton Broad Lowestoft. 1911 Census
A Private with 1st New Zealand Stationary Hospital, Thomas died on 23rd of October 1915 at the age of 26. Thomas was born at Banbury, Oxfordshire, on 18 May 1889, a son of Robert Thomas and Harriett Elizabeth Kirk. He was baptised at Christchurch, Banbury, on 27 August 1889 and at that time his family lived at Prospect Terrace, Banbury and his father was a Recruiting Sergeant with the Oxfordshire Light Infantry. A Private with the 7th Battalion, Sam died on 28th of April 1917 at the age of 36. Sam was born at Oulton on 14 July 1880, a son of Henry and Hannah Websdale. He was baptised at Saint Michael’s Church, Oulton, on 31 May 1885, and his family lived at Oulton. In 1891 his family lived at Church Road, Oulton, and by 1901 at 1 Margarets Cottages, Moyes Road, Oulton, and Sam worked as a bricklayer’s labourer. This was still the family home in 1911 when Sam was still a bricklayer’s labourer.  Register of Soldiers Effects
A Second Hand with H.M. Yacht Aelda, William died on 6th of November 1943 at the age of 42. William was born at Lowestoft on 20 February 1901, a son of William James Dixon and Maud Marion Oldman. William was baptised at Saint Margaret's Church, Lowestoft, on 13 March 1901, and his family lived at 58 Wollaston Road. By 1911 his family lived at 25 Coronation Terrace, Fir Lane.
