Memorials WW2

See also WW1 Memorials, All Memorials, Memorials map. For reasons that we do not fully understand there were fewer memorials created after the Second World War, and, surprisingly, some places that commissioned memorials for the First World War did not add to them after the Second World War.

Interestingly, however, at that time a number of local businesses commissioned their own war memorials. Again, every memorial that we have had access to is recorded on the website and can be found on the map.

After the Second World War the town did not commission a new list of the fallen, therefore the Our Fallen website serves as the only Second World War memorial for the whole Lowestoft area.
