A Private with 1st New Zealand Stationary Hospital, Thomas died on 23rd of October 1915 at the age of 26. Thomas was born at Banbury, Oxfordshire, on 18 May 1889, a son of Robert Thomas and Harriett Elizabeth Kirk. He was baptised at Christchurch, Banbury, on 27 August 1889 and at that time his family lived at Prospect Terrace, Banbury and his father was a Recruiting Sergeant with the Oxfordshire Light Infantry.
