A Second Lieutenant with 93 Squadron, Donald died on 31st of January 1918 at the age of 23. Donald was born at Lowestoft on 16 December 1894, a son of Alfred James Edmund and Amy Ellen Gee. He was baptised at Saint John’s Church, Lowestoft, on 13 September 1895, and his family lived at 4 Surrey Street. The 1901 Census shows Donald with his grandparents, John and Charlotte Gee, at 61 Albert Street. By 1911 his parents were living at 5 Regent Road and later they lived at 22 Marine Parade.  RAF Officer Papers
A Second Hand with H.M. Trawler New Comet, Arthur died on 20th of January 1917 at the age of 38. Arthur was born at Pakefield, Lowestoft on 28 September 1878, a son of Frederick and Mary Clarke. He was baptised at All Saints' Church, Pakefield, on 19 September 1880 and his family lived at Pakefield. In 1881 their home was at 2 Squires Cottages, Carlton Road, Pakefield. Frederick William Naunton Baker
A Sergeant with 54th Field Company, Frederick Baker died on 7th of January 1915 at the age of 38. Frederick was born at Lowestoft on 8 December 1876, a son of Frederick William and Elizabeth Naunton Baker. In 1881 his family lived at 8 New Nelson Street, Lowestoft, and by 1891 where living at 118 Denmark Road. Frederick served an apprenticeship with his father's General and Ship-smiths business. A Corporal with the 10th Battalion, Ernest died on 8th of February 1945 aged 34. Ernest was born at Walthamstow on 20 April 1910, a son of Charles T. and Anna Maude Kemp. In 1911 his family lived at Finningham, Suffolk. By 1921 they were living at Blo Norton, Norfolk. In 1936 Ernest married Ethel Edna Rice, this was registered in the Thetford district. By 1939 they were living at 197 Stradbroke Road, Pakefield, and Ernest was an insurance agent. In 1945 their home was at 203 Stradbroke Road. Ethel later remarried.  Probate
A Pilot Officer with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, Charles died on 16th of February 1944 aged 21.Charles was born at Marylebone, London, on 21 December 1922, a son of Henry George and Ellen Louisa Folkard. A Seaman with H. M. Cable Ship Alert (United Kingdom), Robert died on 24th of February 1945 aged 39.Robert was born at Lowestoft on 12 November 1905, a son of John and Susannah Button. He was baptised at Saint John’s Church on 1 December 1905 and his family lived at 47 Albert Street. By 1911 his family were living at 47 Park Road, and this was still the family home in 1945. In 1921 Robert was an errand boy working for John Deveraux and Sons at 129 High Street.  Merchant Navy Casualty Card
A Private with 14 Light Armoured Motor Battery, Alfred died on 4th of June 1920 at the age of 20. Alfred was born at Lowestoft in 1898, a son of Alfred and Martha Mercer. In 1901 his family lived at 19 Princes Road, and this was still their address in 1911. Alfred enlisted in the Army around August 1915. He joined the Suffolk Regiment, service number 21191. About February 1916 he was posted to the France. At some point in 1916 he was transferred to the Machine Gun Corps, service number 3707, and was posted to 51 Company.    Pension Record Card
A Sergeant with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, Ralph died on 12th of February 1942 aged 21.Ralph was born at Ipswich on 11 June 1920, a son of Edgar Tomlinson and of Harriet Rhoda Tomlinson. In 1921 his family lived at 52 Fleet Street, Bury, Lancashire. On 31 July 1937 Ralph was appointed to a role with the Civil Service clerical class and, by 1939, when his family lived at Briardale, Chestnut Avenue, Oulton Broad, Ralph worked with the clerical section of the Post Office telephone department.  1939 Register
A Sergeant with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, Ivor died on 20th of February 1944 aged 21. Ivor was born at Lowestoft on 3 June 1922, a son of Henry Stephen and Gertrude Ellen May May. In 1939 his family lived at 28 Saint Peter's Street, Lowestoft.Ivor was appointed temporary Postman - Messenger, at Lowestoft, in December 1938. In January 1941 he was appointed Sorting Clerk and Telegraphist at Lowestoft.  1939 Register
A Lance Corporal with the 1st Battalion, Thomas died on 25th of February 1917 at the age of 38. Thomas was born at Bungay in 1879, a son of George and Catherine (Kate) Clarke. In 1891 his family lived at Saint Mary’s Terrace, Flixton Road, Bungay. By 1900 they were living at 3 Windsor Terrace, Bungay, and Thomas worked as a labourer.  Pension Record Card
