A Private with the 7th Battalion, Stanley died on 13th of October 1917 at the age of 20. Stanley was born at Ditchingham, Norfolk, in 1894, a son of James and Alice E. Hadingham. In 1901 they lived at Cypress Cottage, Oulton, by 1911 they were living at 4 Park Road Cottages, Rock Estate, Oulton Broad, and Stanley worked as a carter. Later in 1911 he began work as a general labourer for the Great Eastern Railway at Lowestoft.  Pension Record Card

A Warrant Telegraphist with H.M.S. Champagne, Charles died on 9th of October 1917 at the age of 23. Charles was born at East Bergholt, Suffolk, on 4 December 1893, a son of George and Susannah Stannard. In 1901 Charles’ family lived at The Police Station, Tavern Street, Stowmarket, where his father was a police inspector. By 1911 they were living at 33 Cobbold Street, Ipswich. Later they lived at 57 Levington Road, Ipswich, before moving to 29 Carlton Road, Pakefield. De Ruvigny
James Alfred Ward
A Gunner with 326th Siege Battery, James died on 31st of October 1917 at the age of 19. James was born at Kirkley on 28 April 1898, a son of James and Bessie Ward (note her first initial is also given as A). In 1901 his family lived at 2 Morton Road, Kirkley, and by 1911 they were living at 57 Morton Road. By 1916 they were living at 30 Clemence Street and later they lived at 98 Norwich Road, Lowestoft.James attended Morton Road County Council School and subsequently worked at the Conservative Club, Lowestoft.  De Ruvigny

A Private with 11th Bn., Charles died on 3rd of October 1916 at the age of 21. Son of Cornelius William and Edith Seeley of The Lodge Waveney Hill Oulton Broad; Lowestoft Suffolk.  CWGC
A Private with 14th Battalion, George died on 16th of October 1916 at the age of 29. George was born at Rendham, Suffolk, on 23 October 1886, a son of Arthur and Ellen Maria Wink. In 1891 his family lived near the chapel at Rendham. George was educated at Pakefield. In 1901 his family lived at Birds Farm, Birds Lane, Carlton Road, Kirkley, and George was a grocer’s errand boy. By 1911 they were living at 41 Kimberley Road, Lowestoft, and George was a general carter.   De Ruvigny

Drifter Datum, Ephraim died on 26th of October 1916 at the age of 32. According to his Royal Naval Reserve service record Ephraim was born at Hopton, Suffolk, on 18 December 1868, a son of Edward and Anne Hunt. Aubrey died on 31st of October 1914 at the age of 26.Aubrey was born at Hampstead, Middlesex, on 8 August 1886, a son of Annie Amy Austin and step-son of Charles William Bradfield. He was baptised at Saint Saviour's Church, Hampstead, on 29 August 1886. In 1888 his family lived at 27 Lismore Road, Hampstead, and by 1891 they were living at 32 Fleet Road, Hampstead. A Private with the 7th Bn., Robert died on 13th of October 1915 at the age of 25. Robert was born at Carlton Colville on 22 September 1890, a son of Samuel Henry and Elizabeth Knights. He was baptised at Saint Peter’s Church, Kirkley, on 21 December 1892, and his family lived at Kirkley.  CWGC
A Corporal with No 1Base Signals Repair Unit, George died on 7th of November 1944 aged 22. George was born at Lowestoft on 5 December 1921, a son of Frederick M. and Ethel May Folkard. In 1939 his family lived at 5 Broad View Villa, Hall Road, and George was a clerk in an ironmonger’s shop and apprentice shopkeeper. In 1942 George married Ruth Evelyn Leeds, this was registered in the Lothingland district. In 1944 their home was at 37 Duke’s Head Street.  Probate
