Henry was born at Lowestoft on 11 February 1905, a son of Samuel George and Lucy Ann Brady. In 1911 his family lived at 1 Bishop’s Buildings, Mariners Street, and later at 21 Chapel Street. In 1921 his family lived at 94 Seago Street. On 5 September 1931 Henry married Florence Kathleen Saunder at Saint Margaret’s Church, Lowestoft. Henry was a barman living at 94 Seago Street and Florence lived at 43 Norwich Road. In 1939 they lived at 94 Seago Street and Herny was a casual Post Office worker. A Lance Corporal with 47th (Oldham) Regiment, Clifford died on 27th of October 1942 at the age of 35. Clifford was born at Ipswich on 14 July 1907, a son of Herbert Walter and Ethel May Brewster. In 1911 his family lived at 26 Norwich Road, Ipswich. Clifford was educated at Mrs. Goves School, Berners Street, Ipswich. From 16 September 1914 to 24 July 1919 Clifford attended Northgate Grammar School, Ipswich, and was then a pupil at Woodbridge Grammar School. A Gunner with 120 Battery, 30 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment, Percy died on 25th of October 1942 aged 31. Percy was born at Lowestoft on 18 June 1911, a son of Arthur George and Ellen Elizabeth Balls. He was baptised at Saint Margaret's Church, Lowestoft, on 11 July 1911, and his family lived at 49 Cambridge Road. Battle Alamein
A Private with the 5th Battalion, Hector died on 25th of October 1942 at the age of 22. Hector was born at Antingham, Norfolk, in 1920, a son of William John and Honoria Hannah Say. He was baptised at Saint Mary’s Church, Antingham, on 13 June 1920. In 1921 his family lived at Southrepps Road, Antingham. By 1939 his family were living at 44 Bridge Road, Oulton Broad.Hector enlisted in the Suffolk Regiment, but was later transferred to the East Yorkshire Regiment. Jonathan was born at Luton, Bedfordshire, on 21 August 1908, a son of Jonathan William and Emma Allen. In 1911 his family lived at 16 Cumberland Road, Houghton Regis and in 1921 his family lived at 109 High Street, Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire, and later at 29 Drury Lane, Houghton Regis. In 1921 his family lived at 196 Stafford Road, Great Yarmouth. By 1939 Raymond’s family were living at 40 Norfolk Street, Lowestoft. Before joining the Army Raymond was a cotton clothing cutter. In 1921 his family lived at 4 Anguish Street. By 1943 their home was at Rosalyn, 12 Poplar Road, Carlton Colville. In 1939 George was working as a butcher’s assistant, with Harry Butler a butcher and sausage manufacturer, and living at 48 Cedars Road, Edmonton, London. A Corporal with 1st Battalion, George died on 25th of May 1940 aged 26. George was born at Lowestoft on 12 March 1914, a son of Harry and Georgeanna Thompson. He was baptised at Christ Church, Lowestoft, on 10 May 1914 and his family lived at 112 Carlton Road and this was still their home in 1921. By 1939 his family were living at 98 Blackheath Road, Kirkley.George served with the Suffolk Regiment as part of the British Expeditionary Force that went to France in late 1939.
