A Driver with 18th Division Headquarters, Neville died on 17th November 1942 aged 25. Neville, who was often known as Frank, was born at Saxmundham on 8 June 1917, a son of Francis William and Muriel Jennie Grice. In 1921 his family lived at Seafield, The Esplanade, Lowestoft. A Signalman, with the Signal Section 21 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment, Felix died on 19th of January 1945 aged 34.Felix was born at Lowestoft on 7 July 1910, a son of James George and Amelia Bond Gwilliam. In 1921 his family lived at Harbour House, Lowestoft, as his father was the Harbour Master. In 1934 Felix married Hilda Florence Setterfield, this was registered in the Mutford district. In 1939 they lived at 48 Salisbury Road and Felix was a wholesale grocery and provision salesman. After the war Hilda lived at Limes Cottage, Forncett Saint Peter, Norfolk.  Fall of Singapore, FEPOW
A Second Lieutenant, Alan died on the 15th of February 1942 aged 27. Alan was born at Lowestoft on 27 March 1914, a son of Alfred and Ada Bayfield. He was baptised at Saint Margaret’s Church on 14 May 1914 and his family lived at the Anchor Hotel, High Street, where is father was the publican. In 1921 their home was at 159 High Street. Alan Jack Sturman
A Lance Corporal with the 4th Battalion, Alan died on 12th of September 1943 aged 26. Alan was born at Oulton on 11 July 1917, a son of John R. and Mary Ann Sturman. In 1921 his family lived at Mill Road Mutford, and this was still their address in 1939 when Alan worked as a grocer’s assistant. George died on 6th of August 1943 at the age of 42.George was born at Lowestoft on 10 March 1903, a son of John and Beatrice Maltby. He was baptised at Saint Peter's Church, Kirkley, on 5 April 1903, and his family lived at 20 Lovewell Road, Lowestoft. A Private with the 4th Battalion, George died on 23rd of March 1918 at the age of 37. George was born at Lowestoft on 2 March 1881, a son of David Charles and Maria Harriett Ayres. He was baptised at Saint Margaret's Church, Lowestoft, on 1 May 1881. By 1891 his family were living at 8 Walton Road, Lowestoft, and this was George's home for the rest of his life. Claude Henry Leeds
A Private with 54th (1/1st East Anglian) Casualty Clearing Station, Claude died on 13th of August 1915 at the age of 18. Claude was born at Lowestoft in 1896, a son of John and Ada Leeds. In 1901 his family lived at 9 Sandringham Road, Lowestoft. By 1911 they had moved to 3 Sandringham Road, and Claude worked as a butcher.   Royal Edward Sinking
A Private with 8th Bn., Jeremiah died on 31st of July 1917 at the age of 22. Jeremiah was born at Westhall, Suffolk, in 1895, a son of Robert and Alice Ann Lambert. In 1901 his family lived at Wicker Well Cottages, Somerleyton. By 1911 they had moved to 167 Saint Margarets Road Lowestoft.During the First World War Jeremiah served in the Army and he joined the Suffolk Regiment. Initially he served with the 4th Battalion, number 3586, and was wounded, his name appearing in the official casualty of 7 September 1916. Once recovered he was posted to the 8th Battalion.  Passchendale
A Private with the 8th Battalion, Edward died on 1st of July 1916 at the age of 39. Edward was born at Lowestoft on 14 October 1876, a son of Abraham and Emily Clark. He was baptised at Saint Margaret’s Church, Lowestoft, on 5 November 1876. In 1881 his family lived at Princes Road. In 1891 their address was 19 Princes Road. Later his parents lived at 15 Ipswich Road.On 10 January 1914 Edward married Ellen Maria Reynolds at Saint Margaret’s Church. Edward was a fisherman living at 63 Beccles Road and Ellen lived at 2 Corton Road. Later Ellen lived at 49 Reeve Street. Battle of Somme 1st day
