A Sapper with 208th Field Company, Esmond died on 21st of March 1918 at the age of 20. Esmond was born at Lowestoft in 1898, a son of John and Zillah Sterry. He was baptised at Saint John's Church, Lowestoft, on 6 March 1898, and his family lived at Alma Road. In 1901 their address was 5 Alma Road and this was still their address in 1911. By 1911 John was working as a fisherman and worked with his father who was the Skipper of the fishing trawler Crystal. An Able Seaman with Drake Battalion, Walter died on 21st of March 1918 at the age of 19. Walter was born at Lowestoft on 29 November 1899, a son of Walter and Emily Piper. In 1901 his family lived at Bishop’s Buildings, Mariners Street. A Private with 131st Company, Edward died on 21st of March 1918 at the age of 29. Edward was born at Lowestoft on 24 September 1888, a son of Frederick and Susan Mary List Cox. In 1891 his family lived at 10-12 Albert Road, Lowestoft, and this was still the family home in 1901. George was born at Lowestoft on 21 January 1896, a son of George Edward and Alice Maud Brown.
