A Civilian, Peter died on 27th of February 1941 aged 3. Peter was born at Lowestoft on 27 March 1937, a son of Ronald George and Mildred Hazel Nicholls. In 1939 they lived at 486 London Road South and his grandparents, James and Clara Taylor, lived at 82 Lorne Park Road. Peter died at 82 Lorne Park Road during an air raid. 270241 raid
An Aircraft Apprentice with No 1 School of Technical Training, William died on 10th of August 1941 at the age of 18. William was born at Lowestoft on 16 January 1923, a son of William Henry and Georgina Honor Powell. In 1939 his family lived at 32 Seago Street, and William worked as an assistant to a coach body maker. A Civilian, Frank died on 10th of August 1941 at the age of 19. Frank was born at Lowestoft in 1922, a son of Sydney Alfred and Jessie May Roach. By 1939 his family were living at 71 Wollaston Road.Frank served with the Home Guard.On the night of 9-10 August 1941 an air raid took place at Lowestoft. Frank, his parents, Sydney and Jessie, William and Georgina Powell, and their son William, took shelter in a double Anderson shelter at the end of the garden of 71 Wollaston Road. A high explosive bomb scored a direct hit on the shelter killing everyone inside. 100841 raid
A Civilian, Jessie died on 10th of August 1941 at the age of 48. Jessie was born at Lowestoft on 13 March 1893, a daughter of George and Susan Ann Smith. She was baptised at Saint Margaret's Church, Lowestoft, on 7 May 1893 and her family lived at 35 Edinburgh Road. Jessie married Sydney Road at Saint Margaret's Church, Lowestoft, on 18 December 1917. At that time he was a soldier on active service, and Jessie lived at 16 Queens Road. 100841 raid
A Civilian, Sydney died on 10th of August 1941 at the age of 49. Sydney was born at Lowestoft on 12 March 1892, a son of James and Martha Ashley Roach. Sydney's family lived at 71 Wollaston Road. In 1911 Sydney was employed as a domestic groom.Sydney was working as a groom, for Lilian Boswell at Tudor Lodge, Lowestoft, when he volunteered to join the Army. He attested and joined the Suffolk Regiment, at Lowestoft, on 9 September 1914, number 12648. He was posted to the 9th Battalion and served in France from 30 August 1915. 100841 raid
A Civilian, Georgina died on 10th of August 1941 at the age of 50. Georgina was born at Lowestoft, on 2 December 1890, a daughter of George William and Georgina Carr Nobbs. She was baptised at Christchurch, Lowestoft, on 7 January 1891, and her family lived at Searle's Buildings, The Beach, Lowestoft. By 1901 her family were living at 33 Ravenscroft Road, West Ham, but by 1911 they had returned to Lowestoft at lived at 32 Seago Street. 100841 raid

William married Georgina Honor Nobbs, at Lowestoft, in 1915, In 1921 William and Georgina were living at 32 Seago Street, and William had his own business as a tennis racket manufacturer, with premises at 155 London Road, Lowestoft. 100841 raid
A Civilian, Roy died on 9th of April 1941 at the age of 16. Ronald was born at Lowestoft on 21 July 1924, a son of Bertie Frederick and Rose Clarke. By 1939 his family were living at 100 Rotterdam Road and Roy was an errand boy.Roy, his parents, two of his brothers, and several neighbours were killed in an air raid when a bomb hit the air raid shelter, at 100 Rotterdam Road, where they were taking cover. 090441 raid

By 1911 his family were living at 137-138 High Street, Lowestoft, and by 1921 they were living at 72 Carlton Road. On 11 July 1936 Roy married Winifred Alice Ansted at Saint Margaret’s Church. Roy was a joiner living at 8 Windsor Road, and Winifred lived at 2 Station Road. By 1939 they were living at Saint Lucia, Warren Road, and Roy was a carpenter and joiner. 090441 raid
A Civilian, Kathleen died on 9th of April 1941 at the age of 28. Kathleen was born at Deal, Kent, on 13 July 1912, a daughter of Philip Wellington and Alice Amelia Smith. In 1921 her family lived at 8 Alfred Square, Deal. By 1933 they were living in Lowestoft and in 1939 her parents lived at the Coast Guard House, East Street. On 9 December 1933 Kathleen married John Barnard at Saint Margaret’s Church. Kathleen lived at 44 Crown Street and John was a net loom worker living at 42 May Road. By 1939 their home was at 96 Rotterdam Road. 090441 raid
