A Civilian, Mabel died on 12th of May 1941 aged 54. Mabel was born at Peckham, Surrey, on 12 December 1886, a daughter of Daniel and Roseanna Barton. In 1891 her family lived at 6 Brookdale Road, Lewisham. By 1901 Mabel’s father had died and her family had moved to Lowestoft, her mother’s home town, and lived at 38 Raglan Street and Mabel worked as a dressmaker. 120541 raid
A Civilian, Victor died on 12th of May 1941 aged 21. Victor was born at Lowestoft on 3 January 1920, a son of James and Florence Page. He was baptised at Saint Margaret’s Church on 29 January 1920. By 1939 his family were living at 14 May Road and Victor was a drifter fisherman. 120541 raid

A Civilian, Iris died on 17th of May 1941 at the age of 21. Iris was born on the 26th January 1920 and was a daughter of Albert and Ellen Maud Spurgeon of 36 Old Nelson Street Lowestoft Suffolk. The 1939 Register shows that Iris worked as a factory hand at a wire factory in Lowestoft and subsequently she went to work at Nuneaton, Warwickshire. 170541 raid, bestpic
A Civilian, Jean died on 12th of May 1941 aged 3. Jean was born at Lowestoft on 2 October 1937, a daughter of William E. and Irene M. Pearson, nee Runacres. In 1939 her family lived at 68 Somerton Avenue. During the night of 11 to 12 May 1941 an air raid took place and houses on May Road were badly damaged. Alfred J. Turner said that there was a crater in the middle of the road with four houses flattened on one side and the houses on the other side of the road were shattered. He said it was the worst damage that he had seen. 120541 raid
A Civilian, Ernest died on 17th of March 1944, at the age of 50. Ernest was born at Herringfleet on 28 January 1894, a son of George and Julia Folkard. He was baptised at Saint Margaret's Church, Herringfleet, on 1 April 1894. In 1901 his family lived at Herringleet Road, Herringfleet, and in 1911 at 11 Sunny Bank Cottages, Herringfleet, and Ernest worked as a farm labourer. Ernest served in the Army during World War One. Initially he served with the Army Service Corps and then the Royal Irish Fusiliers. He was discharged, because of wounds, on 28 October 1918. 181140 Raid

She was baptised at Saint Margaret’s Church on 4 October 1874. In 1881 her family lived at 22 Mariners Street, Lowestoft. In 1921 her family lived at 26 Saint Leonards Road, Lowestoft. In 1939 she was still living with her family at 26 Saint Leonards Road and she was an unemployed beatster.
