Roy Arthur Carr

An Ordinary Seaman with H.M.S. Bristol, Roy died on 21st of December 1944 aged 19. 

Roy was born at Lowestoft in 1925, a son of Leonard Thomas Carr and Clara May Carr. In 1939 his family lived at 80 Stanford Street.

Roy served with H.M.S. Bristol which was a shore-based training establishment at Ashley Down, Bristol. Given that Roy’s name does not appear in the Royal Navy War Graves register, and that his death was registered in the Wirral district, it is likely that he had been discharged from the navy before he died.
