A Private with 7th Bn. Percy died on 12th of October 1917 at the age of 20. 

Percy was born at Lowestoft in 1897, a son of James G. and Bridget A. Pye. In 1901 his family lived at 4 Rant Score East, and by 1911 they were living at 135 Whapload Road, Lowestoft.

Percy enlisted in the Army at Lowestoft. Initially he served with the Essex Regiment, number 276396, and was in the5th Battalion. He was then transferred to The Queen's (Royal West Surrey Regiment) and served with the 3/4th Battalion, number T/273049, before being posted to the 7th Battalion.
