Samuel Edward Thacker

A Cook with the tug S.S. Aid (London). Samuel died on 29th November 1940 at the age of 21.

Son of Mary Anne and the late Alfred Thacker of 1 Shelter Cottages Kessingland.

Samuel died when his tug was attacked and sunk by enemy action about eight miles off Start Point, Devon. Five members of the crew were killed.
