Robert Vernon Mumford

A baby, Robert died on 25 April 1916, aged nine months.

Very little biographical information has been found about Robert. 

On 25 April 1916 Robert and his mother were living in shared accommodation at 20 Sandringham Road. During the German bombardment of Lowestoft a shell went straight through the house, bringing down the upper floor, killing Robert and two others. Robert's mother was seriously injured and two others in the house were also injured. 

Robert was buried at Lowestoft Cemetery, Normanston Drive, on 29 April 1916.
