A Lance Corporal with the 8th Battalion, Vincent died on 17th of September 1916 at the age of 19. Vincent was born at Oulton in 1896, a son of William and Mary Ann Baxter. In 1901 his family lived at Park Road, Rock Estate, Oulton. This was still their address in 1911 when Vincent worked as a messenger boy for a boat builder.
