A Chief Engineer with Fishing Vessel Westfield (Milford Haven), George died on 6th of July 1941 aged 48. George was born at Lowestoft on 25 April 1893, a son of Albert Harry and Mary Ann Coleman. In 1901 his family lived at 61 Clemence Street and in 1911 at 6 A Carlton Road, Pakefield, and George was a fisherman.  Probate
A Chief Stoker with H.M.S. Oakley, Henry died on 26th of January 1944 aged 41. Henry was born at Deptford, London, on 23 January 1903, a son of Henry Jeremiah and Florence May. He was baptised at Saint John’s Church, Deptford, on 18 February 1903 and his family lived at 30 Nelson Street, Deptford. By 1911 they were living at 111 Dale Road, Canning Town.  Probate
A Corporal with the 10th Battalion, Ernest died on 8th of February 1945 aged 34. Ernest was born at Walthamstow on 20 April 1910, a son of Charles T. and Anna Maude Kemp. In 1911 his family lived at Finningham, Suffolk. By 1921 they were living at Blo Norton, Norfolk. In 1936 Ernest married Ethel Edna Rice, this was registered in the Thetford district. By 1939 they were living at 197 Stradbroke Road, Pakefield, and Ernest was an insurance agent. In 1945 their home was at 203 Stradbroke Road. Ethel later remarried.  Probate
A Seaman with H.M. Trawler Canna. Joseph died on 5th of December 1942 at the age of 22. Joseph was born at Lowestoft on 8 September 1920, a son of Thomas George and Emily Godbold. In 1921 his family lived at 57 Seago Street, Lowestoft. Later his father lived at 35 Beaconsfield Road, Lowestoft. Joseph was serving on the Canna, at Lagos, when an accidental explosion took place and the vessel was burnt out. Six of the crew, including Joseph, were killed. Joseph's sister-in-law, Jessie, was killed in an air raid in 1942. His nephew, Leonard, was killed in 1941.  Probate
James Henry Gouldby
A Second Lieutenant with 5th Battalion (Territorial) attached 7th Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment, James died on 25th of August 1918 at the age of 24. James was born at Lowestoft in 1891, a son of William and Helena Clara Gouldby. He was baptised at Saint Margaret's Church, Lowestoft, on 21 April 1895 and his family lived at 239 Raglan Street. In 1901 they lived at 67 Raglan Street. By 1911 they were living at 133 Clapham Road and James was an assistant in his father's business as a Hay and Corn Merchant. James served with the 1/1st Suffolk Yeomanry.  Probate
Fernley William Clarke
A Flying Officer with the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, Fernley died on 26th of April 1945 aged 21. Fernley was born at Lowestoft in 1923, a son of John Thomas and Mildred May Clarke. By 1945 his family were living at 141 Beccles Road, Oulton Broad. Probate
