Edward Charles Albrow

A Civilian, Edward died on 12th of May 1943 at the age of 67. 

Edward was born at Lowestoft on 11 April 1876, a son of Edward and Emma Albrow. he was baptised at Saint Margaret's Church, Lowestoft, on 4 June 1876. In 1881 his family lived at 2 Till Road, Lowestoft, and by 1891 they were living at 188 Raglan Street. 

Edward was working as an errand boy when he joined the Royal Navy, on 16 May 1891, to serve as a Boy 2nd Class. Edward served with the Royal Navy until he was invalided, ill, on 8 July 1898.

Frank Rodgers Allen

A Civilian, Frank died on 10th of February 1942 at the age of 67. 

Frank was born at Stratford Saint Mary, Suffolk, in 1874, a son of James and Harriett Allen. In 1881 his family were living at 14 Magdalene Street, Norwich, and by 1891 at 45 Calvert Street, Norwich, and Frank worked as a draper's assistant. 

Michael Dann

A Cook with the Trawler Bucentaur, Michael died on 21st May 1947 at the age of 67.

Michael was born at Aldeby on 4th March 1880, a son of George and Eliza Dann. In 1881 his family lived at Waterheath Cottage, Aldeby, near Loddon. By 1891 his mother had died, his father remarried, and the family had moved to Lowestoft, living at Stanley Cottages, 2 Carlton Road.

Michael married Harriett Good at Gisleham parish church in 1905. By 1911 they were living at Black Street, Gisleham, and by 1918 they were living at Rhoda Cottages, Black Street, Gisleham.

Susannah Cossey Draper

A Civilian, Susannah died on 22nd of July 1941 at the age of 67. 

Susannah was born at Lowestoft in 1874, a daughter of Edmund and Ann M. Redgrave. She was baptised at Saint Margaret’s Church on 4 October 1874. In 1881 her family lived at 22 Mariners Street, Lowestoft. By 1891 they were living at Sudbury Cottages, 1 Bevan Street, Lowestoft, and Susannah was a domestic servant.

Ellen Eliza Mills

A Civilian, Ellen died on 13th of January 1942 at the age of 67. 

Ellen was born at Newcastle-upon-Tyne on 14 January 1874, a daughter of George and Sarah Oakes. By 1901 her family were living at High Street Corton. On 24 May 1902 Ellen married George Edward Mills. 

By 1911 they were living at Ethel Cottage, Victoria Road, Oulton Broad, and in 1921 they lived at the Conservative Club, Bridge Road, Oulton Broad, where George was the steward. In 1939 their home was at Red Ridge, 20 Edgerton Road.

James Sergeant

A Deck Hand, James died on 21st May 1947 at the age of 67.

James was born at Chedgrave on 9th March 1880, a son of Daniel and Mary Sergeant. In 1881 his family lived at The Street, Chedgrave. By 1901 his family were living at The Pits, Chedgrave, and James worked as an agricultural labourer. 

In 1903 James married Kate Mary Vann and by 1911 they were living at 3a Carlton Road, Pakefield. It seems that James became a fisherman before 1911. 

Beatrice Elizabeth Utting

A Civilian, Beatrice died on 12th of May 1943 aged 67. 

Beatrice was born at Lowestoft on 11 December 1875, a daughter of Robert George and Emma Richard Dowsing. She was baptised at Saint Margaret’s Church on 6 February 1876. In 1881 her family lived at Sparham’s Buildings, Saint Peter’s Street. In 1891 Beatice lived with her uncle and aunt, Charles and Mary Breach, and she worked as a beatster. In 1901 Beatrice lived with her parents, at 222 Clapham Road, and she was a net mender.    

Walter Ward

A Civilian, Walter died on 1st of May 1942 aged 67. 

Walter was born at Plumstead, London, on 6 June 1874, a son of Richard Edward and Elizabeth Ward. In 1881 his family lived at 13 Arthur Street, Plumstead. In 1891 they lived at 18 Heavitree Road, Plumstead, and Walter was a blacksmith’s apprentice.
