Ernest Alfred Kemp

A Corporal with the 10th Battalion, Ernest died on 8th of February 1945 aged 34. 

Ernest was born at Walthamstow on 20 April 1910, a son of Charles T. and Anna Maude Kemp. In 1911 his family lived at Finningham, Suffolk. By 1921 they were living at Blo Norton, Norfolk. 

In 1936 Ernest married Ethel Edna Rice, this was registered in the Thetford district. By 1939 they were living at 197 Stradbroke Road, Pakefield, and Ernest was an insurance agent. In 1945 their home was at 203 Stradbroke Road. Ethel later remarried. 

James Mark

A Private with the 10th Battalion, James died on 30th of September 1944 aged 24. 

James was born at Brampton, Cumberland, in 1920, a son of John Joseph and Agnes Mark. In 1939 his family lived at High Boothby, Brampton.

In 1943 James married Barbara Doreen Capps, of 27 Jacob's Street, at Lowestoft. Barbara remarried in 1962. 
James enlisted in the Border Regiment and was later transferred to the 10th Battalion Highland Light Infantry. The 10th Battalion landed at Normandy on 18 June 1944.

Frederick William Pearson

A Private with the 2nd Battalion, Frederick died on 14th of February 1945 aged 20. 

Frederick was born on 9 March 1924, his birth was registered in the Mutford district. He was a son of Frederick James and Jessie Frances Pearson. In 1939 his family lived at Elm Farm, Jay Lane, Lound, and Frederick was a carpenter’s apprentice.  

Frederick married Eileen Joan Reynolds in 1943, this was registered in the Bromley district. 

5th Bn.

Thomas Arthur Bruin

A Private with the 5th Battalion, Thomas died on 22nd of January 1945 aged 19. 

Thomas was born at Crayford, Kent, on 10 February 1925, a son of Frank Charles and Winifred Bruin. He was baptised at Saint Paulinus Chapel, Crayford, on 1 March 1925. In 1939 his family lived at 48 Mill Place, Crayford. 

Thomas married Pamela Dorothy Rose Houghton at Lowestoft in 1944. She lived at 5 Turner's Cottages, Saint John's Road, Lowestoft. Pamela remarried in 1946.
