By 1881 William's mother had died and lodged, with his father and brother, 'near The Cliff, Corton', with Samuel and Susannah Freeman, his uncle and aunt.
In late 1883 William married Martha Ellen Freeman at Corton. In 1891 they lived at Mill Lane, Corton, and Mill Lane was still their address in 1901. In 1911 their address was Browns Cottages, Mill Lane, Corton.
Charles Herbert Emms
A Master with S. S. Mexico City, Charles died on 5th of February 1918 at the age of 53.
Charles was born at Lowestoft in 1864, a son of Jewett David and Fanny Elizabeth Emms. He was privately baptised by the Vicar of Saint John’s Church on 14 March 1864, and his family lived at Commercial Road. In 1871 the family lived at 3 Commercial Road where Charles’ father had a bakery and grocer’s shop. After his father’s death his family lived at Cyprus House, 11 London Road, and in 1911 he had relatives lived at 34 Marine Parade.
Harry Labon
A Trimmer with Steam Trawler Ventnor (Grimsby), Harry died on 24th of July 1915 at the age of 53.
Harry, or Henry, was born at Thurlby, Lincolnshire, in 1868, a son of Harry and Mary A. Labon. In 1871 his family lived at Station Road, Thurlby. By 1881 they had moved to the Lowestoft area and lived at London Road, Pakefield, and Harry was a brickmaker. In 1891 his family lived at 19 Southwell Road, Lowestoft. In 1901 his family lived at 29 Southwell Road, Lowestoft, and Harry was a smacksman. Later his sister, Ann Agus, lived at 39 Kent Road, Lowestoft.
Beatrice Emma Miller
A Civilian, Beatrice died on 9th of April 1941 at the age of 53.
Beatrice was born at Lowestoft on 28 January 1888, a daughter of Thomas W. and Catherine C. Fitt. In 1891 her family lived at 29 Cambridge Road. By 1901 they were living at Victoria Villa, Queens Road, and this was still their home in 1911 when Beatrice worked as a dressmaker, on her own account.
Beatrice was baptised at Saint Margaret's Church, Lowestoft, on 11 December 1912, and her family lived at Hazlemere, Alexandra Road.
Henry Charles Shimmon
A Deck Hand with Fishing Vessel Vanguard (Lowestoft), died on 24th of October 1917 at the age of 53.
Henry was born at Great Yarmouth on 6 July 1864, a son of Henry Charles and Susan Shimmon. He was baptised at Saint Nicholas' Church, Great Yarmouth, on 10 January 1869. In 1871 his family lived at Row 140, Great Yarmouth. In 1881 Henry was living at Victoria Road, Southwold, with his uncle and aunt, John and Mary Welton, and Henry worked as a twine spinner.
John Watson
An Acting Regimental Sergeant Major with the Inland Waterways Transport, John died on 15th of May 1918 at the age of 53.
John was a son of George and Jean (Jane) Watson. He is believed to have been born at Kintore, near Inverurie, Aberdeenshire, on 20 July 1864. In 1871 his family lived at a cottage in Thorns Forest, and in 1881 they lived at 5, Aberdeen Turnpike, Kintore, and John was a paper mill worker. By 1891 John was working as a stone mason and he lodged at 28 Whitworth Road, Plumstead, London.
