Christopher Monckton
A Second Lieutenant with 13 Squadron, Christopher died on 1st of July 1916 at the age of 18.
Christopher was born at Hilton, near Bridgnorth, Shropshire, on 4 April 1898, a son of Arthur and Lady Gertrude Moncton. Christopher’s maternal grandfather was the 4th Earl of Radnor. He was baptised at Worfield, Shropshire, on 24 April 1898. In 1901 his family lived at Hilton House, Worfield, and, by 1911, were living at Normanston Hall, Beccles Road, Lowestoft. His family also had a house at 29 Queen’s Road, Saint John’s Wood, London.

William Frank Smith
A Second Lieutenant with 19th Reserve Squadron Royal Flying Corps, William died on 13th of May 1917 at the age of 28.
William was born at Lowestoft on 16 August 1888, a son of Sidney and Sarah Isabella Smith. He was baptised at Saint Margaret’s Church, Lowestoft, on 20 September 1888. A Second Lieutenant with 4th Squadron, Duncan died on 16th of February 1918 at the age of 19.
Duncan was born at Lowestoft in 1898, a son of Frank and Jessie Money. He was baptised at Christchurch, Lowestoft, on 2 September 1898, and his family lived at 19 Windsor Road. In 1901 his family lived at 198 London Road and, by 1911, at 113 London Road South. Later his parents lived at Redan Road, Ipswich.

Edward John Nichols
An Air Mechanic 2nd Class serving with 58 Reserve Squadron, Royal Flying Corps, at the Base at Suez, Edward died from accidental injuries on 7th of May 1917 at the age of 20.
Edward was born at Thorpe Hamlet, Norwich, on 10 November 1896, a son of Edward Charles and Mary Ann Nichols. He was baptised at Thorpe Hamlet on 26 May 1897 and his family lived at Carrow Road, Norwich. In 1901 his family lived at Chaney Lane, Tacolneston, and by 1911 at 79 Rotterdam Road, Lowestoft.

Donald Kirby Edmund Gee
A Second Lieutenant with 93 Squadron, Donald died on 31st of January 1918 at the age of 23.
Donald was born at Lowestoft on 16 December 1894, a son of Alfred James Edmund and Amy Ellen Gee. He was baptised at Saint John’s Church, Lowestoft, on 13 September 1895, and his family lived at 4 Surrey Street. The 1901 Census shows Donald with his grandparents, John and Charlotte Gee, at 61 Albert Street. By 1911 his parents were living at 5 Regent Road and later they lived at 22 Marine Parade.

An Air Mechanic 2nd Class with No. 1 Training Centre (Halton), Sidney died on 1st of April 1916 at the age of 20.
Sidney was born at Lowestoft on 12 June 1895, a son of William and Rosa Ann Eagle. He was baptised at Christchurch, Lowestoft, on 14 August 1895, and his family lived at 9 Selby Street. In 1901 his family lived at 168 Denmark Road, and this was Sidney’s home for the rest of his life.
In 1911 Sidney studied for, and gained, a first-class certificate in Pitman shorthand (60 words per minute).
