Arthur Frederick Harper
A Guardsman with 1st Battalion, Arthur died on 19th of December 1916 at the age of 20.
Arthur was born at Lowestoft in 1896, a son of Joseph and Sarah Eliza Harper. He was baptised at Saint Margaret’s Church on 8 May 1896 and his family lived at Carlton Road. In 1901 his family lived at 6 Victoria Road, Carlton Colville. By 1911 they were living at 1 School Road, and Arthur was assisting his father as a jobbing gardener.

Charles Edward Mann
A Private with the 2nd Battalion, Charles died on 27th of March 1918 at the age of 30.
4th Bn.
George Edward Ayres
A Private with the 4th Battalion, George died on 23rd of March 1918 at the age of 37.
George was born at Lowestoft on 2 March 1881, a son of David Charles and Maria Harriett Ayres. He was baptised at Saint Margaret's Church, Lowestoft, on 1 May 1881. By 1891 his family were living at 8 Walton Road, Lowestoft, and this was George's home for the rest of his life. In 1901 he worked as a blacksmith's apprentice, and by 1911 he was an auxiliary postman.
Ernest James
A Private with 4th Bn., Ernest died on 27th of September 1915 at the age of 23.
Ernest was born at Lound in 1893, a son of Alfred and Harriet Sophy James. Ernest was baptised at Sint John the Baptist Church, Lound, on 30 April 1893.
In 1901 his family lived at 3 Back Lane, Lound. By 1911 they were living at Stone Cottage, Lound, and later their address was 1 Back Lane, Lound.
In 1911 Ernest worked as an odd-boy at 12 Carlton Terrace House, London. He worked for Sir Savile Crossley who, in 1916, became Baron Somerleyton in 1916.
Alan Joseph Stevens
A Guardsman with the 4th Battalion, Alan died on the 21st of April 1945 aged 20.
Alan was born at Lowestoft in 1925, a son of Alfred James and Louise M. Stevens. In 1939 his family lived at Joycot, Saint Peters Road.
Alan served with the 4th Battalion Grenadier Guards. This was a tank battalion armed with Churchill Tanks.

John Moore
A Guardsman with 6th Bn., John died on 21st of September 1943 at the age of 21.
John was born at Lowestoft on 19 January 1922, a son of Allen Edwin and Edith May Moore of Lowestoft Suffolk. In 1939 his family lived at 97 Cambridge Road, Lowestoft, and John was a draper's shop assistant.
