Frederick served an apprenticeship with his father's General and Ship-smiths business.

Ernest was born at Gunton, Lowestoft, on 23 June 1880, a son of George Alfred and Elizabeth Bobbitt. He was baptised at Saint Margaret’s Church on 3 October 1880. In 1881 his family lived at 9 South Parade, York. In 1891 Charles was a pupil at Mr. Townsend’s School, The Hall, Cross House, South Parade, Doncaster. By 1901 the family were living at The Rectory, Ridlington, Norfolk. In 1911 the family home was 290 London Road, and later at 365 London Road.

James was born at Lowestoft on 29 September 1876, a son of James Edward Burwood and Mary Ann Capps. He was baptised at Saint Margaret's Church, Lowestoft, on 1 October 1876. In 1881 his family lived at 7 Crown Street, Lowestoft, and by 1891 at 90 Albert Street. James began work as a Post Office sorting clerk and telegraphist at Lowestoft in 1893.

In 1901 Charles was a seaman on the trawler Rose Bud, LT 594, at Newlyn. Charles was awarded his certificate of competency as a Second Hand in 1905.

He was baptised at Saint John's Church, Lowestoft, on 27 December 1885, and his family lived at 48 Bevan Street. By 1891 Harry's father had died and his mother was married to Henry West. His family was now living at 5 Patterson Street, Winlaton, County Durham. By 1901 his family were living at 43 Plaxton Street, Stranton, West Hartlepool.

Harry was born at Lowestoft in 1879, a son of George Henry and Harriet E. Freestone. In 1881 his family lived at 20 Clapham Road, Lowestoft, and by 1891 at 2 Jacob’s Street. In 1901 they lived at 96 Haward Street and Harry was a leather merchant’s assistant. Later his family lived at 241 Raglan Street.

By 1891 Hebert’s mother had married George Read, and the family lived at Beccles Road, Carlton Colville. Note in the 1891 Census Herbert’s surname is given as Read.
Albert Boaz Townsend Hart

Albert was born at Lowestoft in 1880, a son of George Henry and Mary Elizabeth Hart. In 1881 his family lived at 2 Fenton Terrace, Raglan Street. By 1891 they were living at 46 Tonning Street, where his father had a shop. In 1901 they were still living at 46 Tonning Street and Albert was a fish packer. Both of Albert’s parents died in 1904. By 1915 Albert was a milk seller at 41 Tonning Street, and is believed to have been employed by John Oldrin of Rushmere.
Herbert Herring
A Cook with Sailing Trawler Trevone (Lowestoft). Herbert died on 29th of January 1917 at the age of 38.
Herbert was born in 1876. Most sources state that he was born at Lowestoft, however the 1881 Census shows him living with Charlotte Plant, a widow, at 46 Stevens Street, and gives his place of birth as Paddington, London. He has not been traced in the 1891 Census, but in 1901 he was again living with Charlotte, at 46 Stevens Street, and he worked as a quay labourer.

He was baptised at Saint Paul's Church, Sheerness, on 10 November 1904, and his family lived at 65 High Street, Sheerness. By 1911 his family were living at 22 Mariners Street, Lowestoft. In 1921 his family lived at 5 Albany Terrace, Albany Road, Lowestoft, and Sidney was a barman at Stebbings Wine Merchants, High Street, Lowestoft.

By 1921 they had moved to 6 Catherine Terrace, London Road, Pakefield, and Ernest was a fisherman. In 1939 his family lived at 12 Beaconsfield Road, Lowestoft, and Ernest worked as a fisherman.

Joseph was born at Lowestoft on 9 January 1902, a son of Joseph Henry and Susannah Margaret Martin. He was baptised at Saint Margaret's Church, Lowestoft, on 31 January 1902. His family lived at 29 Jacob's Street, Lowestoft, and later at 30 Jacob's Street.
In 1919 Joseph married Hilda May Neave at Lowestoft.
In 1939 Joseph and Hilda lived at 23 Cathcart Street, Lowestoft, and Joseph worked as a car battery operative at an electrical engineering works.
