He was baptised at Saint Botolph’s Church, Cambridge, on 19 March 1905 and his family lived at Lynfield, Tenison Avenue, Cambridge. In 1911 their address was 19 Tenison Avenue, Cambridge. In 1921 they lived at Moulton Rectory, Newmarket. By 1939 Eric’s father had died and his mother lived at Elderslie, Chestnut Avenue.
William Arnall Durrant

William was born at Lowestoft on 1 April 1907, a son of Dennis George and Alice Jane Durrant. He was baptised at Saint Margaret's Church, Lowestoft, on 30 April 1907 and his family lived at 146 Saint Peter's Street. By 1911 they were living at 66 Essex Road.
William married Martha Emma Peek in 1938. In 1939 they lived at 10 Rotterdam Road and William was an electrical public lighting attendant.

Harry was born at Lowestoft on 15 September 1918, a son of Frank William and Alice Mary Freestone. He was baptised at Saint Margaret's Church, Lowestoft, on 3 October 1918. Throughout his life his family lived at 28 Jacob's Street, Lowestoft. In 1939 Harry worked as a stores clerk.
Little is known of Harry’s military service, or his cause of death, but he had been discharged from the Army before he died at Melton, Suffolk.
Fred William Arthur Howard
A Private, Fred died on 12th of November 1940, at the age of 25.
Fred was born at Lowestoft on 25 January 1915, a son of Fred William and Bessie Howard of 7 Bruce Street, Lowestoft. He was baptised at Saint John's Church, Lowestoft, on 12 March 1915.
Fred's father was serving with the Norfolk Regiment when he was born and his father was killed in action in 1917. Fred's mother remarried and she lived at 85 Blackheath Road in 1939 (this was Fred's address according to burial records).

In 1941 William married Mary E. Fox, this was registered in the Spen Valley district.
