Robert Bailey
A Second Hand with H.M. Trawler Bracklyn, Robert died on 11th of May 1917 at the age of 62.
Robert was born at Blaxhall, Suffolk, on 10 March 1856, a son of Henry and Emma Bailey. By 1861 Robert’s father had died and his family lived at Church Road, Blaxhall. In 1871 they lived at Church Lane, Blaxhall, and Robert was an agricultural labourer.

Isaac Baxter
A Civilian, Isaac died on 29th of September 1940 at the age of 62.
Isaac was born at Barnby on 6 March 1878 a son of Peter and Sarah Ann Baxter. In 1881 his family lived at Barnby and in 1891 they lived at The Crown, Beccles Road, Carlton Colville, where his father was the publican. In 1901 Isaac was the mate on the trawler Speedwell at Newlyn Harbour.

Ernest Bonsall
A Civilian, Ernest died on 13th of January 1942 aged 62.
Ernest was born at Lowestoft on 18 September 1879, a son of John and Frances Bonsall. He was baptised at Saint John’s Church on 30 January 1880 and his family lived at 13 Piere Terrace. By 1891 their home was at 7 Piere Terrace and this was still their home until at least 1911. Ernest became a watchmaker and jeweller, working with his father, and was, later, a clock repairer.

Edith Susan Burnham
A Civilian, Edith died on 3rd of July 1940 aged 62.
Edith was born at Beccles on 17 April 1878, a daughter of Alexander and Sophia Burnham. In 1881 her family lived at Blyburgate Street, Beccles, and in 1891 their address was 42 Blyburgate Street. By 1901 Edith’s father had died and Edith worked as an assistant to her mother, a dressmaker, and her family lived at 121 Ingate Street, Beccles. Edith moved to Somerleyton, and in 1911 she was a house parlour maid at The Rectory.

Leonard Claude Chase
A Deck Hand with Steam Trawler Carry On (Lowestoft), Leonard died on 17th of December 1940 aged 62.

Mabel Emily Clarke
A Civilian, Mabel died on 22nd of July 1941 at the age of 62.
Mabel was born at Lowestoft in 1879, a daughter of David and Susannah King. In 1881 her family lived at North Raglan Street and in 1891 their address was 314 Raglan Street. In 1901 Mabel worked as a kitchen maid for the Gunn family at Helen Holme, Holland Road, Clacton.

William Norton Easter
A Mater with the Trawler Speculator. William died on 9th of November 1914 at the age of 62.
Born at Aldringham in 1852, a son of Thomas Norton and Jemima Easter. He was baptised at Aldringham on 8 August 1852. In 1861 his family lived at Aldringham cum Thorpe. In 1871 they lived at Aldringham and William was a mariner.

Thomas Arthur Godwin
A Civilian, Thomas died on 8th of March 1942 aged 62.
Thomas was born at City Road, Shoreditch, London, on 26 August 1879, a son of Henry and Kate Godwin. In 1881 his family lived at 138 City Road. By 1891 they were living at 4 Conyer Street, Bethnal Green. In 1901 Thomas’ family lived at 36 The Green, West Ham, and Thomas was a van and cart builder.
In early 1911 Thomas married Alice Victoria Hume, this was registered in the Saint Pancras district. They lived at 68 Prince of Wales Road, Kentish Town, and Thomas was a coach, bus and cab body maker. Alice died in 1915.

Agnes Grimble
A Civilian, Agnes died on 19th of November 1944 aged 62.
Agnes was born at Drayton, Norfolk, on 11 February 1882, a daughter of George and Maria Ribbans. She was baptised at Drayton on 10 March 1882. Agnes attended Drayton School until 2 February 1891 when she became a pupil at Martham School, and her family lived at West Somerton. Agnes left school in February 1895 to help at home.

John Gross
A Mate with S.S. Sixty Six (Middlesbrough), John died on 29th of June 1918 at the age of 62.
John was born at Lowestoft in 1856, a son of John and Charlotte Gross. In 1861 his family lived at London Road, and in 1871 they lived at 6 Redwell Buildings, Kirkley. In 1875 John worked on the S.S. Pacific. By 1881 his family were living at West Side, 8 Saint George’s Road, Kirkley, and John was a mariner.
Melina Soloman
A Civilian, Melina died on 23rd of January 1941 at the age of 62.
Melina was born at Lowestoft in 1879, a daughter of William and Clara Hutchins. She was baptised at Saint Margaret’s Church on 2 February 1879. In 1881 her family lived at 39 Haward Street, and by 1891 at 36 Haward Street. In 1901 her family were living at 68 Tonning Street.

William George Hickleton Utting
A Civilian, William died on 12th of May 1943 aged 62.
William was born at Lowestoft on 31 March 1881, a son of John and Eleanor Eliza Utting. He was baptised at Saint Margaret’s Church on 3 July 1881. In 1891 his family lived at 33 Raglan Street and later his parents lived at Springfield, Saint Margarets Road.
In 1901 William had his own bakery and confectionary shop at 67-69 Saint Peter’s Street.

George William Wade
A Company Quartermaster Sergeant with the 3rd Battalion, George died on 5th of June 1916 at the age of 62.
George was born at Morley, Wymondham, Norfolk, in 1854. He is believed to have been a son of John and Mary Wade, but he has not been found in any birth or census records.
George was working as a groom when he enlisted in the Army at Ipswich on 27 December 1876. He joined the Royal Artillery, service number 1518. George stated that he was nineteen years old. He served until 1 March 1879, when he was honourably discharged being unfit for further service.

James William Wilson
A Cook with Fishing Vessel Research (Lowestoft), James died on 17th of May 1916 at the age of 62.
James was born at Lowestoft on 16 April 1853, a son of John and Mary Ann Wilson. He was baptised at Saint Margaret's Church, Lowestoft, on 1 May 1853. In 1861 his family lived at Infirmary Plain, Lowestoft. By 1871 James' family were living at 3 Turner's Court, Factory Lane, Lowestoft, and James was a scavenger. In 1881 James lived with his sister, Hannah Balls, and her husband, Alfred, at 9 The Hemplands, Lowestoft, and James worked as a general labourer.
